While in Thailand I visited two places, Phuket and Chiang Mai. At Phuket we had some wonderful seafood and in Chiang Mai we tried different dishes at the night market. I would recommend to visit the night markets, also in Phuket, since they have enough

It is odd that I am not able to write a long post about vegetarian/halal food in Tokyo. I think my trip in Japan overall did not revolved around food, it was rather about culture and all the sightseeings we did. Nevertheless, below few food

~Halal ramen Naniwaya (formerly Naritaya) The first day I arrived, we had a try at an halal restaurant in the Dotonbori area. The place was slightly hidden but you should be able to follow Google Maps for direction. The restaurant offers prayer room for Muslims.

~El’s KURA Bar It was hard finding a halal place in Kyoto. Eventually we ended up at some Indonesian places which has halal options. One such place is EL’s KURA bar. The guy who owned the place once came to Japan and never left. He

During my Asian round trip, I found Japan the toughest country to sort out vegetarian, and especially halal dishes. One of the reason is the language barrier since most menus are in Japanese and most Japanese do not speak English. Nevertheless this should not prevent
