During my Asian round trip, I found Japan the toughest country to sort out vegetarian, and especially halal dishes. One of the reason is the language barrier since most menus are in Japanese and most Japanese do not speak English. Nevertheless this should not prevent anyone from visiting this wonderful country. I have discovered some vegetarian and halal places in Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto.
